ASTM-A252 is a steel pipe foundation standard for pipe piles developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials, applicable to seamless and welded steel pipes. This type of steel pipe is mainly used as a protective sleeve for load-bearing piles or concrete piles. ​
The standard includes three strength levels:

Grade 2: Minimum yield strength 241 MPa (35 ksi)
